Relação entre o comprometimento com a sustentabilidade organizacional e o comportamento pró-ambiental dos servidores públicos do Instituto Federal de Pernambuco
Abstract
Over the years, given the worsening of the global situation and the perception of the real impacts caused by environmental degradation, the environment has become a concern for civil society, the government and organizations. However, it was noticed that organizational commitment to sustainability is not dissociated from a necessary materialization of behaviors that dialogue with environmental preservation. The general objective of the article was to analyze the relationship between the Commitment to Organizational Sustainability and the Pro-Environmental Behavior of Public Servants in the Work Environment of a Federal Public Institution of Education. It was a descriptive and exploratory research with a quantitative bias, whose analysis was performed by multivariate statistics, among them, the verification of Cronbach's Alpha and logistic regression. It was concluded that resource saving behavior in the work environment is related to behavioral organizational commitment. On the other hand, recycling behavior was not related to organizational commitment. It was noticed that age and gender influence pro-environmental behavior by employees of the institution under study.
